5. Glossary
DHCP: (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is a network application protocol used by devices (DHCP clients) to obtain configuration information for operation in an Internet Protocol network.
Firewall is a part of a computer system or network that is designed to block unauthorized access while permitting authorized communications. It is a device or set of devices configured to permit, deny, encrypt, decrypt, or proxy all (in and out) computer traffic between different security domains based upon a set of rules and other criteria.
ISR (Integrated Services Router) is a network device integrates other network features into the router other than just routing features. Used mostly in small offices on ADSL lines, they offer things like VPN, firewall, and encryption services.
LCD (Liquid crystal display) is a thin, flat panel used for electronically displaying information such as text, images, and moving pictures. Its uses include monitors for computers, televisions, instrument panels, and other devices ranging from aircraft cockpit displays, to every-day consumer devices such as video players, gaming devices, clocks, watches, calculators, and telephones
